This is a spare lid for the very striking lidded serving dish, sometimes referred to as a casserole dish, in the discontinued Denby Encore pattern. 

Encore was discontinued by Denby Pottery many years ago, and items have become increasingly difficult to obtain in such excellent condition, partly because it is such a popular choice even today. Make sure that you purchase your items when we have some in stock.
