Paragon ChinaParagon China is actually a trading name for the Star China company. It can trace it's origins to 1897 when Hugh Irving and Herbert Aynsley (great grandson of of the original Herbert Aynsley) set up the business. The name Paragon was introduced in 1900 and in 1919 it was adopted as the company name, Paragon China Company Limited. In 1960 Paragon started it's association with Royal Albert, when Thomas C Wild & Sons Ltd took over, paving it's way to become part of the Allied English Potteries Ltd in 1964. As part of same it became part of Royal Doulton in 1972. They continued to use the Paragon backstamp until 1991 when it was replaced by Royal Albert. This is why some later Paragon designs can also be found with a Royal Albert backstamp. Click on one of the Paragon designs below to view our current stock.
