Very attractive and hard to find tea cups manufactured by Johnson Bros in the Queens Bouquet pattern from their Old English range of designs. These cups have a diameter across the top of approximately 4" and they stand approximately 2.25" tall. They are in very good condition with only some slight deterioration to the gilding to indicate previous use.

This pattern has an interesting history in that it was designed for Johnson Bros, to replicate a bouquet presented to H M Queen Elizabeth during her royal visit to Canada in 1939. The pattern was registered in 1940, so it is hardly surprising that it is now rarely seen in good condition.
