This is an oblong place mat in Johnson Brothers discontinued range of Eternal Beau. They were made by Cloverleaf on behalf of Johnson Bros.

Eternal Beau is a readily recognised shape (octagonal plates and saucers) and the pattern was sold in enormous quantities, and although production has ceased, the popularity seems to go on and on.
