This is the lidded vegetable tureen in the discontinued range of Pemberton, sold by Marks and Spencer under the St Michael brand, and manufactured by Royal Doulton. 

Pemberton has now been discontinued by Marks and Spencer for some while, and items have become very difficult to obtain in good condition. Top up your set while such Pemberton items are still available.
