A very scarce lidded butter dish in the rare "Azure" colouring from Poole Pottery. This dish is in very good condition, although on careful examination we have noted a tiny manufacturing flaw on the inside of the lid, where the glaze has not adhered correctly. Please see the secondary photograph to see what an insignificant flaw this is on this rare item.

Azure was produced by Poole in the Compact shape. Other pattens produced in this shape included Chestnut, Choisya, Charcoal, Broadstone, Parkstone and Lakestone.
