Poole Pottery Chestnut Medium sized Milk Jugs

Medium sized milk jugs from the popular Chestnut range of Poole  Pottery. These jugs stand just over 4.5" tall, and have a capacity of approximately half of one pint (UK). These Chestnut items are in excellent condition.

Chestnut was one of a series of patterns in the "Compact" shape, designed by Robert Jefferson and first produced by Poole Pottery in the mid 1960's. It was a very practical style, designed to stack easily and safely.  The range was discontinued by Poole Pottery many years ago and has now become very difficult to obtain in good condition.
