Poole Pottery Chestnut Oval Open Serving Dishes

 Very useful large open oval serving dishes in the "Chestnut" pattern, manufactured by Poole Pottery. These dishes measure approximately fifteen and three quarter inches by ten inches. They are in very good condition.

Poole Pottery produced quite a few different patterns in the "Compact" range, and Chestnut was one of the more popular colour styles in that range. It was first produced in the mid 1960's and although it was produced and sold in large quantities, its production was curtailed many years ago. It has now become quite difficult to find items in this pattern in good condition, and this applies especially to specialist items such as this, which would obviously have been produced in smaller quantities than cups, plates etc.
