 Poole Pottery Stoneware Sculpture, Wren on Stump

A very rare Poole Pottery stoneware sculpture of a wren on a stump. This model was only produced in 1972 and was replaced by the wren on an apple model, as it was considered  to be unstable. It stands approximately 5.5" tall and is in excellent condition without damage or repair. It was modelled by Barbara Linley-Adams.Please see the photographs to view the back stamp on the base.

Poole ceased producing this stoneware range several years ago. The stoneware style has now become very much sought after by Poole Pottery collectors. As a result, the prices have soared in recent years and items are becoming very difficult to obtain in such good condition.
