Wade Ceramics' story begins in 1810 when it opened for business in Stoke on Trent. Initially they didn't make ceramics but instead produced products aimed at the wool and textile industry as well as bottles for the beer industry. As the years have gone by Wade has continued it's relationship with breweries and distilleries and there are a wide range of Wade made brewerania to collect today. Perhaps their most famous collectable range are the Wade Whimsies, first introduced in 1954, which became a firm favourite among children at their affordable 'pocket money' prices. Many of these are highly collectible today.
