This is the Salad or Breakfast plate in the ever popular Desert Song range from Poole Pottery. This versatile plate have a diameter of just over 9", which also makes them useful for the diner with a smaller appetite.

The Desert Song patterning was designed for Poole Pottery by Pat Summers and was applied to the Contour shaped tableware designed by Robert Jefferson. It was first issued in the 1960's and has now been out of production for a long time.
