POOLE POTTERY LUCULLUS LUG HANDLED LIDDED  SERVING DISHES

Very attractive and hard to find lug handled lidded serving dishes from the Lucullus range produced by Poole Pottery. The base of these dishes measure approximately 8.25" from the outside of one lug handle to the outside of the opposite lug handle. The have a capacity of approximately 1 pint and are in very good condition.

Lucullus was an enhanced design of the popular Blue Moon pattern produced by Poole Pottery. It was introduced in 1962 but sold in much smaller numbers than the Blue Moon range, and has hence become quite difficult to find in good condition. It was used on serving ware only. 

Many purchasers used these very attractive serving dishes in combination with the standard Blue Moon design.
