This is the very attractive and hard to find large lidded serving dish from Poole Pottery in the much sought after Springtime pattern. In this style the lid fits on a ledge inside the top rim of the bowl, making it less likely to accidentally slide off. This piece has lugged (as opposed to looped handles).

Many of Poole Pottery's customers had not completed their sets when Springtime was discontinued causing a lot of disappointment. Now is your chance to complete your set, or replace your lost and damaged items, but do not leave it too long as this pattern has now become very difficult to find in such excellent condition.
