Poole Pottery Chestnut Lidded Vegetable Serving Dishes

Very useful and elegant lidded serving dishes in the "Chestnut" pattern, manufactured by Poole Pottery. The base of these dishes have a diameter across the top  of approximately 8.75 inches and they are approximately 3 inches tall.  The dishes are in excellent condition.

Poole Pottery produced a number of different coloured  patterns in the "Compact"  shape, and Chestnut was one of the more popular colour styles in that range. It was first produced in the mid 1960's and although it was produced and sold in large quantities, its production was curtailed many years ago.
